Projects
As an artist I am continually trying to craft my style in a way that suits living the lifestyle of living. Since being a child, I always loved to carry around a camera and take pictures of the objects around me. Eventually hobby would become trade as the artistic value began to flourish β writing, photographing and song writing.
Below is a list of various projects that have weaved through my life as sparks of creation endure.
Current Projects
Saving Hunter [2007 -Present]
The mission of Saving Hunter is to discover the life of 1st Lt. Robert Gerald Hunter and to aid in the preservation of his legacy through the means of a written account. Many residents who live and play around Douglasville, Georgia are familiar with Hunter Memorial Park, but not the story behind the young man that the park was named after.
Past Projects
The Residual Solace [2003 β 2008]
The poor outcome of Suffocating the Mind came The Residual Solace β a rebirth of creative writing using memory and future presence as an artistic base. The book was published in June of 2008 and it features the final draft from Suffocating the Mind.
Losing Georgia [2008]
At the end of 2007 the Losing Georgia Project concluded as a documentary despite calls for continuance. In March of 2008 Losing Georgia returned to take on the role of providing news and photographs of the West Georgia region and other areas for people to interact. However the stint did not last long and ceased operation the next month.
Losing Georgia Project [2005-2007]
Spanning over two years, the Losing Georgia Project was a webumentary on the growing urbanization of Douglas County, Georgia and the effects it had upon the community. Solely a voluntary effort, various topics of concern was discussed in an open forum that allowed residents to experience the growth of their small community in new ways.
The Truth Be Told [1993 - 2000]
The Truth Be Told is a personal collection of poetry written over seven years that covered a teenage depression. This was my first self-published work as an independent artist and writer. Initial release was in the Spring of 2000 with 100 limited edition prints.
Side Projects
Source of Conflict [1998 - Present]
Itβs about two guys making music for over twelve years in the bedrooms and basements, establishing links to our musical influences. On drums is my best friend, Rob, while I play to the side on my guitar - together we have crafted 17 instrumental songs.
Suffocating the Mind [2001-2004]
Following in the small success of the Truth Be Told poetry book, a minor sequel was written and drafted during three years, but was never released. Feeling compelled that the work never manifested to its truest potential, countless revisions were made until it was decided to leave the material absent from view.
